The Great Western Hotel

Summary

Refurbishment of Historic Hotel

Location

Taunton Station, Taunton

Concept

The Great Western Hotel is a grade II listed Classical Georgian hotel that sits opposite the entrance to Taunton railway station in Somerset. Originally built in the mid-19th Century the building had been converted to offices in the 1950 and for a number of years prior to the renovation had been left vacant.

In 2018 we were approached by YMCA Dulverton Group to assist them in bringing the hotel back into use. Working to a tight budget the building is now transformed into a boutique hotel and work-hub, with event facilities and business units at ground floor and basement
